Be of Good Cheer
“Son, be of good cheer. Your sins are forgiven you.” -Matthew 9:2
When a lame man was brought to Jesus, He tells this guy to be excited! His sins have been forgiven. He’s been justified before God. Not a single spot on him! How often do we lose sight of how awesome a gift forgiveness is. How often do we lose our wonder of how awesome the gospel of the Kingdom of God is. How simple. How powerful. How passionate the good news is. Just as we may miss and long to be with a family member or friend we haven’t seen in a while how much more so must God long to be with us. His love is relentless! And as an encoure, Jesus heals the guys legs too. Jesus was much more focused on healing the guy spiritually before he healed him physically. You can always count on God to take your healing one step deeper than what you were expecting. He loves you and only wants the best for you. Know Him. Trust Him, and trust the process. Get EXCITED! Freedom and forgiveness are here! Immanuel! God with us!
